Welcome to Bretherdale Hall

We are a traditional Lakeland stone farmhouse and barn conversion located on the south easterly boundaries of the Lake District National Park, between Kendal and Kirkby Stephen, within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales.

Within an area of outstanding natural beauty and in a friendly, farming environment sits Bretherdale Hall and Barn. Surrounded by open countryside, spectacular views can be enjoyed from all rooms. Amazing Summer sunsets, with Spring green fields dotted with lambs, wild deer and foals, Autumn skys and Winter freshness, make Bretherdale a perfect location to relax and explore the Lakes and Dales at anytime of the year.

Accommodation
Comfort, touches of luxury, and attention to detail is our signature style for both properties. The farmhouse has great character with sumptuously comfortable furniture and an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings including a multifuel burner. The four double bedroom farmhouse sleeps 8 in very comfortable pocket sprung divan beds. In complimentory style the newly converted adjacent barn has a contemporary style with 5 double bedrooms with en-suite facilities “Boutique Hotel” style.

On arrival each property gives guests a Cumbrian welcome pack of local organic eggs, milk, artisan baked bread, jam, ground coffee and tea.

Both properties are rated by Visit England with their top award of 5 Star Gold.
Each property has its own totally separate outdoor seating area overlooking different aspects of the surrounding valley and fells.

To support the properties guests also enjoy the shared facilities of a dedicated spa building with sauna/steam rooms, showers and changing areas. Separate drying cupboards for each of the properties with their own spa towels are provided for walkers and cyclists to relax and dry their things ready for another day!. Garage parking is provided for 4 cars plus additional parking for at least another 4-6 cars within the boundaries of the property.

Entertainment
A games room, located next to the Spa, is available with a pool table, Wii and Xbox 360 games as well as a LED television with DVD and cinema surround system available for guests use, a great place for young people to relax. A full size table tennis table is also available in a fifth bay of the garage to make it usable all year round. We have also provided four bikes for guests to use to share.

With a Friday changeover, short weekend bookings are available at short notice during off peak periods, availability permitting.
